Women of Sugarmill Woods donate $20,758.54


The Women of Sugarmill Woods were recognized by the Board of County Commissioners for their recent donation of $20,758.54 to the Citrus County Library System for books and materials for the new Homosassa Public Library.

Large open area

The main corridor opens up into the main area of the library where the stacks will be located. This views shows a large area that will include a children's room.

Corridor lined with stone columns

A view looking back toward the main entrace. The circulation desk will be to the left and the Learning Center to the right. The main corridor of the library is lined with the stone columns.

Reading area

This area of the library, with windows looking out toward the cypress trees will eventually include seating for a reading area.

Main entrance

The main entrace of the library is located where the stone columns extend out from the building. The community room is located to the left of the entrace as you enter.

Drainage retention area

The Drainage Retention Area (DRA) to the west side of the facility will be used to provide storage of stormwater runoff.

Raising the roofing materials

A large forklift assists in raising the roofing materials for the installers.

Work on the parking area begins

Heavy equipment prepares the soil south of the building entrace. The parking lot will extend south of the library toward the adjacent county park.

Another front porch view

The front porch will stretch across a front portion of the building. Just in front of that will be the reading garden with brick pavers.

More steel beams

These two large steel beams will form the roof area over the community room in the southwest corner of the building.
